Food Pyramid with a wide selection of food can be a guide in choosing healthy foods, not dependent on age (from age 2 years and above) or your lifestyle.



Food pyramid meets the basic principles of healthy food, that is varied, balanced, and limited.

Varied: There is no single type of food that can satisfy all the nutrients it needs. Varied diet that contains several different types of foods from the five major food groups in the pyramid can meet all the required nutrients.

Balanced
: A diet with balanced nutrition in sufficient quantities of the five types of food, can meet the needs of calories and nutrients. Everyone's needs differ depending on age, gender and physical activity undertaken.

Not excessive: Choosing food and beverages carefully will help you control the calories and the amount of total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, salt, sugar and alcoholic beverages. The system is also flexible so you can choose and enjoy the type of food available.

Make your own Pyramid

Arrange for a healthy diet and smart, which is a varied selection of food with balanced nutrition and the amount is not excessive. Use this diet throughout your life, not just for a while, and start creating a personal pyramid now.

1. Eat regularly 3 times a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Do not eat or eliminate the delay time (skip) one of your main meal.
